KUALA LUMPUR: Police will call PKR vice president Tian Chua over claims he organised the Opposition's meetings with Sulu sultanate Jacel Kiram.
"Police have taken Nurul Izzah's statement yesterday and we will call up Tian Chua soon," said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
He was speaking to the reporters after the Inspector Graduation Ceremony at Dataran Kawad, Pulapol here today.
The case is being investigated under section 124 of the Penal Code for treason.
Recently, photos began circulating, showing Izzah posing with Jacel, bearing placards with the message ‘Bebaskan Anwar.’ The meeting allegedly took place in Manila.
