'Green MP' dropped from DAP state line-up

GEORGE TOWN: Embattled Tanjung Bungah assemblyman Teh Yee Cheu has been dropped from the new State DAP committee member line-up.

Also dropped were Gooi Seong Kin, Penang Island City Council councilor Harvindar Singh, Koay Teng Hai, who was the former Pulau Tikus assemblyman, Teh Lai Heng, Yeoh Soon Hin and State Public Works, Utilities and Transportation Committee chairman Lim Hock Seng.

Those dropped were replaced with Goh Choon Keong, Lay Hock Peng, Lim Siew Khim, Tanjung Member of Parliament Ng Wei Aik, Bukit Mertajam member of parliament Steven Sim Chee Keong, and Jawi assemblyman Soon Lip Chee

Meanwhile State Local Government chairman Chow Kon Yeow once again won with the most votes, followed by State Housing, Town and Country Planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.

Also retained were Lim Hui Ying, who is the sister of DAP secretary-general and Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng , Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr P. Ramasamy, State Welfare, Caring Society, and Welfare Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh, A. Tanasekharan, Guan Eng's political secretary Wong Hon Wai and Bukit Bendera member of parliament Zairil Khir Johari.

A total of 760 ballot paper were issued, with 760 votes, of which 47 were spoilt.
