IPOH: The number of flood evacuees in the state remains at 338 as of 10am today.
State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the victims from 98 families were still seeking shelter at three flood relief centres in Kerian district.
The victims from 14 areas sought shelter at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bukit Merah (172 people); SK Changkat Jong (139) and SJKT Simpang Lima (27).
The areas that are still inundated with flash floods are Kampung Matang Tengah, Parit Air Hitam, Kg Batu 38, Kg Batu 40, Parit Abu Hasan Ban, Kg Beriah, Parit Ali Kalang, Parit Lebai Kadir, Parit Mat Keling, Parit Air Hitam 2, Parit Simpang 5, Parit Simpang 4, Ladang Eow Seng and Kampung Tersusun Tali Air.
The water level at the affected areas also did not improve with Bukit Merah recording the highest level at 1.2 metres and Changkat Lobak (0.5 metre).
