KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed his condolences on the passing of legendary Malaysian actress Mariam Ismail.
On his personal Facebook page, Najib said he remembered the late actress and her acting in several films such as Labu Labi.
He wrote: "May her (Allahyarhamah) soul rest in peace. Al-Fatihah."
Fondly known as Mariani, she passed away while in a coma last night and she was 82. She had succumbed to colon cancer and died at on her daughter's house in Sentul at 7.32pm.
She leaves behind 13 children.
