Fahmi expresses condolences to Tia Jinbara's family

KUALA LUMPUR: Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil has expressed his condolences to the family of the former vocalist of popular local rock band Jinbara, Shamsul Bakhtiar Zakaria, better known as Tia, who died last night (November 8).

In a post on his Facebook page, Fahmi expressed hope that the family will be patient and remain strong through such a trying time.

It was reported that Tia, 53, died due to liver cancer at the Shah Alam Hospital at 9.17pm.

Previously, Tia was diagnosed with liver cancer and received treatment at the hospital since November 1.

Tia, together with the band Jinbara, became famous thanks to songs like Farhana (Puteri Bumi Kenyalang) and he was a participant in the fourth season of the reality television show Gegar Vaganza.
