Muhyiddin: I won't apologise [VIDEO]

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin believes there is no need for him to apologise to Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak over what has been said.

The Umno deputy president ‎said his statements were not against the party regulations and its struggles as he continues to fight for the truth.

He was commenting on the statement made by Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein concerning him and vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Hishammuddin was reported as saying that it was up to both of them to issue an apology to Najib, as urged by party members.

Hishammuddin had also noted however that the apology must be made with sincerity.

Speaking to reporters today, Muhyiddin, who is former deputy prime minister, said he wants Umno to remain strong and retain the people's confidence and support.

He said assumptions should not be made and he would continue to attend the annual general assembly until it ends today.
