KUALA LUMPUR: Award-winning actress Nabila Huda Suhaimi is counting her days to her marriage, the date of which she is keeping under wraps for now.
The 31-year-old daughter of legendary rock singer Suhaimi Abdul Rahman or Amy Search said today that the “new man” in her life is a successful restaurant owner and manager whom she has known for a couple of years and is a big fan of hers.
“I’ve known him for slightly more than two years, and he’s a wonderfully caring and sensitive person. He loves my daughter Keisha Laila and he is very supportive of my acting career,” said Nabila, when asked about her future husband.
The talented and popular artiste said she would reveal him and their wedding date to friends, fans and the media soon, and hoped that her big day will be a joyous and memorable one.
“My father has given his blessings to our impending marriage, and my husband’s family has warmly accepted me into their family. I feel very blessed and pleased, because I have found my soul mate who is 100 per cent supportive of me in everything.”
Nabila was previously married to Zaidy Zailani for three years and has a daughter, Keisha Laila, 5, from the marriage.
They were divorced in 2011.
The actress most recently appeared in the musical Bawang Putih Bawang Merah directed by Erma Fatima, staged at Istana Budaya.
Keisha Laila has also followed in Nabila’s footsteps in acting. Both mother and daughter appeared in the plays Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck, Mak Cun and Bawang Putih Bawang Merah this year.
