Marsha Milan Londoh to wed Penang businessman tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR: Having known each other for a decade, singer and actress Marsha Milan Londoh and fiance businessman Mohamed Shaiful Nizam Mohamed Ismail will tie the knot in Penang tomorrow.

Considered a private affair, the solemnisation ceremony will only be attended by both families and the couple’s close friends.

According to Marsha, 30, she accepted the 29-year-old Penangite’s proposal after observing his sincerity and honesty throughout their courtship, which only began in 2013.

“He won my heart with his caring personality and his respect towards my family. Besides that, he has always been there for me and support me in my career. Please pray that everything goes well during our solemnisation ceremony tomorrow,” she said confirming the good news.

The couple were engaged on Dec 14 in a simple ceremony at Marsha’s home state of Sabah, which was only attended by their family members.

For their wedding reception on Jan 8, the couple has chosen the grand Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur as the venue.

Renowned local fashion designer Rizalman Ibrahim will be dressing the couple for both occasions. He is also responsible in putting in place all the wedding decorations at both venues.

Marsha who converted to Islam earlier this month said that she hoped her becoming a Muslim would not be sensationalised, so as to respect both families.

“My conversion to Islam is very personal and I am glad everything went smoothly,” she said, refusing to divulge any details on it.

Marsha rose to fame after coming in fourth in the Astro’s popular reality show Akademi Fantasia (Season 3) in 2005. She delved into acting that same year, starring in a string of TV series including K.I.T.A, Awan Dania 3, Hotel Mania, Mihrab Cinta, Berita Hangit, Duri Di Hati and Benci VS Cinta.

She was also in movies like Magika (2009), 4 Madu (2009), Cun (2011), and recently the horror thriller Jwanita by director Osman Ali.
