Air Asia introduces direct flights from Penang to Yangon

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd has introduced direct flights between Penang and Yangon, Myanmar, marking the seventh international destination from the airline’s northern hub.

The three-times-weekly service will commence on March 22, 2016 and reiterates Air Asia’s commitment to serving the Asean community better, said Head of Commercial Spencer Lee.

“We are committed to growing our network and serving the Asean community apart from strengthening our secondary hub in Malaysia,” he said in a statement.

He said direct connectivity between both cities will stimulate leisure and business activities as this will be Malaysia’s second flight into Yangon.

Promotional all-in one-way fares start from RM99. -- Bernama
