GEORGE TOWN: Two boats and one jet ski were razed in a fire at the Batu Ferringhi beach here today.
A Fire and Rescue department spokesman said they received the distress call at 2.50am and immediately despatched a team of nine firemen with two fire engines from the Bagan Jermal fire station.
"Upon arriving at the scene the team found two boats and one jet ski on fire.
"The team immediately put out the fire. However, the jet ski and the boats were almost 90 per cent burnt," he told reporters here today.
He said the estimated cost of the damage and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
