KUALA TERENGGANU: The discovery of a two-metre long metal object on the beach sparked a commotion at Kampung Beting Lintang, Besut here today.
Not long after the discovery, villagers began speculating that it could have been part of an aircraft.
Police, however, downplayed the claims and said nothing has been confirmed yet.
Besut police chief Superintendent Khaled Che Lah confirmed that they had received information on the discovery.
“We just received the information. We need to check it out first before we can identify whether it is part of an aircraft or otherwise,” he said.
