Litterbugs don't love nation, people and Earth

THERE have been reports on the increase of dengue cases and resultant deaths.

There are reminders to people about the spread of dengue and other vector-borne diseases.

The authorities have advised people about preventing the disease through disposal of refuse to deny mosquitoes their breeding ground.

If there is no aedes, there will be no dengue.

Yet, people throw rubbish everywhere. These people are aware of what they are doing.

They have enough exposure to information but they are indifferent to it. They do not care. They neither love the nation, the people nor Mother Earth.

Look at this picture that I took in Jalan Medan Saujana 4, Taman Medan Saujana, Kamunting, Perak.

Strict enforcement is the only way and that is lacking.

The local authority should inspect this area and take action. The rubbish includes polystyrene and water containers that will turn into an aedes-breeding ground.
