KUALA LUMPUR: A two-storey workshop was damaged in a blaze at Batu Muda, Gombak today.
KL Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Azizan Ismail said the fire mostly affected the upper level of the workshop.
“About 70 per cent of the second floor, which comprised the workshop’s office and storage room were razed.
“The firemen managed to bring the fire under control at 6.26pm,” he said.
Azizan said the department received a distress call at 4.10 pm.
They deployed 29 firemen from the Gombak Selatan, Hang Tuah, Wangsa Maju and Sentul stations to the scene.
