SERDANG: A fire destroyed a house and five vehicles in Taman Serdang Jaya here early this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received a distress call at 1.46am after which three officers and seven personnel from the Serdang Fire and Rescue station were despatched to the scene.
According to Ahmad Mukhlis, as soon as the firemen arrived, they found the terrace house that was 45 per cent razed. A multipurpose vehicle, van and three motorcycles were also destroyed in the blaze.
"The fire spread to the victim's vehicles; a Naza Ria MPV, Nissan Vanette van and three motorcycles that ended up being destroyed.
"The flames were put out not long after and the fire did not claim any lives," he said in a statement today (Dec 7).
