Over 1,000 policemen ready for JDT vs S'gor match

JOHOR BARU: More than 1,400 police personnel will be stationed at the Stadium Tan Sri Haji Hassan Yunus here for the Piala Sumbangsih 2016 (Charity Shield) match between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Selangor tomorrow (Feb 13).

Johor Baru South police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh urged the supporters and public to follow the procedures given by police to ensure that the match proceeds smoothly.

Sulaiman said policemen will be deployed there from 8am till midnight.

"Supporters and spectators are urged not to stir up any provocation, bring in weapons such as glass bottles or sticks.

"Flares and fireworks are also prohibited inside or outside the stadium," Sulaiman told a press conference here today.

Sulaiman added that there should not be any acts of vandalism, and morals and positive etiquette must be adopted before, during and after the match.
