GEORGE TOWN: A senior citizen, who was reported missing while hiking at Moon Gate, has been found.
Tan Seng Hin, 66, was found safe by a search team about 11pm last night.
He was relatively unhurt apart from sustaining minor bruises.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department said a search was launched involving 14 personnel as soon as they received report of the missing hiker just before 9pm.
"The hiker's wife had reported him missing after he failed to return home.
"We then initiated the search along two checkpoints along the hiking trail," he added.
The spokesman said a waiting ambulance brought the hiker to the hospital for treatment.
