Relief as missing girl found safe in Iskandar Puteri

ISKANDAR PUTERI: A seven-year-old girl who went missing after being left alone in a car while her father went to buy food was found safe today.

Iskandar Puteri District acting police chief, Superintendent Ibrahim Mat Som, said the incident occurred at 12.50pm.

He said the father of a seven-year-old girl found that his daughter was not in the car after he went out to buy food. According to him, while the victim was in the car, the car door was unlocked and the engine was not turned off.

"The child wandered out of the car and a couple who were driving by saw the child. The couple then took the victim to school based on the school logo on her uniform.

"Then the victim's parents were contacted by the relevant class teacher and informed that the victim was in good condition," he said.
