KUALA TERENGGANU: The Sultan of Terengganu Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Sultanah Nur Zahirah attended the wedding reception of the daughter of Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, tonight.
The reception at the Taman Tamaddun Islam convention hall was attended by about 800 dignitaries and guests.
Razif's daughter Nur Aziati, 24, a student of Universiti Teknologi Mara in Raub, Pahang married Amal Rafaie Jakiran, the son of Bukit Melawati state assemblyman Jakiran Jacomah, in Kuala Terengganu on Dec 25 last year.
Present at the reception were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Ahmad Razif and wife Toh Puan Halina Zakaria and the groom's parents Jakiran and Rafaeh Hassan.
Among the Cabinet members present were Regional and Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein, Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Datuk Ahmd Maslan, Communications and Multimedia Deputy Minister Datuk Jailani Johari, Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister Datuk Halimah Mohd Sadique and Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir.
