Boboiboy hits the RM3.5 million mark after only four days

KUALA LUMPUR: Boboiboy: The Movie has crossed the RM3.5 million mark at the box office collections, just four days since its cinema debut on March 3.

The achievement has made the movie the first local film to successfully garner such earnings in Malaysia’s film industry.

This is on top of its history making success for being the highest grossing local animation film on its opening day.

Monsta’s animation film tells of Boboiboy and his friends, Gopal, Yaya, Ying and Fang, who embark on an adventure to a mysterious island to save and protect their robot-friend, Ochobot.

This heroic tale of laughs and full of exciting action set pieces take viewers even further into the thrilling superhero world that uncovers BoboiBoy’s new super powers.

It is the first feature film of popular local TV animation series, Boboiboy.

Boboiboy: The Movie is being screened at 109 cinema nationwide, raking in an impressive collection of RM500,000 at the box office and attracted over 30,000 audiences on its first day of release.

Distributed by Primeworks Studios, this film will meet its fans in Indonesia on April 13.
