KUALA LUMPUR: Puteri UMNO chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin has confirmed that there will be a change in the wing’s leadership in Terengganu.
She said this was decided by the wing’s central leadership at a meeting on Monday.
“However, due to the developments in Terenganu, we are deferring the leadership change temporarily,” she told Bernama tonight.
She was commenting on a letter stating the appointment of Besut UMNO Puteri chief Erniesalwani Saidi as the new head of Terengganu Puteri UMNO, which has gone viral on WhatsApp.
The current chief is Hulu Terengganu Puteri Umno chief Rozita Ismail.
Terengganu UMNO is currently facing a challenge after its Kijal assemblyman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, who is a former menteri besar of the state, turned “renegade.” -- Bernama
