MALACCA: More than 20 vehicles belonging to football fans who came to watch a match between JDT and PDRM at the Hang Jebat Stadium here last night were damaged after being rammed by a heavy vehicle.
The fans had double-parked their vehicles along the Lebuh Sungai Udang - Paya Rumput - Ayer Keroh (SPA), resulting in severe traffic congestion as only one lane of the dual carriageway was passable by other road users.
It was learnt that an irate driver of a heavy vehicle, believed to be a trailer, had ploughed his way through the narrow path, causing massive damage to the vehicles.
However no one was hurt in the 10.15pm incident on Sunday.
Some netizens blamed the fans for the incident as their action in double-parking their vehicles at the roadside had caused inconvenience to other road users.
