SEPANG: A total of 125 staff and family members of Media Prima Bhd (MPB) left to perform their umrah in Mecca this morning.
The group travelling via Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) is heading to Medina first from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) before heading for Mecca on Thursday.
MPB manager (employee relations group human resources) Fauzi Hashim, who is leading the umrah group, said the umrah programme was the sixth organised together with MPB and The New Straits Times Press Bhd (NSTP) since 2004.
“We will spend three days in Medina seven days in Mecca.
“The company has subsidised the umrah package for the staff.
“A lot of those who have participated in the programme are grateful to have such a benefit from the company,” he said.
The group is scheduled to return to Malaysia on April 1.
