Shahrizat: Who are the 'Malaysian Investigators'?

KUALA LUMPUR: Wanita UMNO today urged the authorities to find out the identities of the ‘Malaysian Investigators’ who had made false accusations against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak regarding the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) issue.

Its chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil in a statement today said the false accusations had tarnished the image of the prime minister and the country.

“Malaysians must know who are the ‘Malaysian Investigators’ behind the false investigation papers which were stated by the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) report,” she said.

Shahrizat said she was referring to the WSJ report on March 30 2016 which stated that Najib did not take money from 1MDB and WSJ admitted that the money was a donation from Saudi royalty.

“Wanita UMNO wants the authorities, whether the police or the Attorney-General to find out the real identities of the ‘Malaysian Investigators’ as meant by WSJ in their report on July 2, 2015 who had given false investigation papers to accuse the prime minister of taking 1MDB money amounting to US700 million,” she added.
