Khaled focuses on job despite rumours of removal

JOHOR BARU: Amidst rumours that there is an attempt to remove him from his post, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said he is only focusing on carrying out his duties.

"I can't really comment on the allegations because I don't know if it is true or not and I don't know who is making them.

I am focused on doing my job as the menteri besar," said Khaled.

Khaled was speaking to the media after officiating the 'Belt and Road Initiative: The China - Asean Relation' international conference at the Persada Johor.

Also present were MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The conference was organised by the Institute Of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (INSAP), an MCA think tank.

Liow said Khaled had a good record as the menteri besar.

"In the three years that he has held the post, he has done a lot to attract investments into Johor.

He is also someone who adopts the leadership by example motto and this makes him well-liked by people from all walks of life," said Liow.
