Molotov cocktail attack at Penang DCM service centre

BUTTERWORTH: An object believed to be a Molotov cocktail was hurled at the service centre of Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy early today.

Traces of burnt kerosene was found near the centre’s roller shutter in the 3am incident at Taman Chai Leng.

The centre’s person-in-charge R. Subramaniam sensed something amiss when he heard a cracking sound that jolted him from his sleep.

“I stepped outside and saw something burning on the ground, and alerted the police,” he said.

Subramaniam lodged a police report at Chai Leng Park shortly afterwards.

A police forensic team cordoned off the scene and combed the ground to collect samples for investigations.
