30,000 anti-dengue home kits distributed to KL, Putrajaya residents

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 30,000 anti-dengue home kits were allocated by the Federal Territories Ministry to Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya residents.

Its minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said of the total, 25,000 units will be distributed to Kuala Lumpur residents and 5,000 units for Putrajaya residents.

He said the kit was an effort to help residents to eradicate the dengue epidemic in the country.

"The anti-dengue home kit is a complete tool used to track, monitor and control the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes in residential areas.

"It is one of the measures taken by the ministry to eradicate Aedes mosquitoes to prevent dengue fever cases from increasing every year," he said at the launch of the 2016 Dengue-Free Community Project at Kuala Lumpur City Hall here, today.
