Sultan Mizan wins third place in Endurance Riding Championship

SETIU: The Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin won third place in the Sultan Mizan Cup International Endurance Riding Championship 2016, here today.

Representing Royal Terengganu Endurance Stable (RTES), Sultan Mizan recorded an average speed of 16.257 km/h in the race held at Terengganu International Endurance Park (TIEP) in Lembah Bidong.

Muhammad Fuad Hashim of State of Terengganu Endurance Team (STET) won first place with a speed of 17.949 km/h while Rebecca Radny of RTES was second with a speed of 16.258 km/h.

The first place winner received cash prize of RM20,000, Amaswiss wristwatch trophy and medal, the second place received RM15,000 and medal while third place received RM10,000 and medal.

Sultan Mizan and Malaysia D finished third place in the team category. First place went to Malaysia A while second place went to the combined team (Australia, Brazil and Malaysia).

Meanwhile, the horse Presk Minuit ridden by Radny won the Best Horse award and cash prize of RM25,000.

Sultan Mizan gave away the prizes. Also present were the Sultanah of Terengganu, Sultanah Nur Zahirah, Yang Dipertua Muda Terengganu, Tengku Muhammad Ismail and Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman. --Bernama
