Missing Malaysians in Flores found dead

KUALA LUMPUR: The two Malaysians who were reported missing at a waterfall in Indonesia on Saturday have been found dead by rescuers.

The Foreign Ministry today said the remains of the duo were found shortly before that of their Indonesian guide at Cunca Wulang Waterfall, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara.

“The remains of Mohamad Ezzaq Azraf Azumi was found at 11am, while the remains of Mohamad Azfar Tahir was found at 1pm.

The remains of the Indonesian tour guide, Wenseslaus Hendro Akung, who was also reported missing, were found at 3pm local time,” said the ministry in a statement today.

The ministry and the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta conveyed its condolences to the families of the duo and would provide assistance in bringing the remains of Ezzaq and Azfar back to Malaysia as soon as possible.
