KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman today remained tight-lipped on questions concerning his position.
He said an announcement on his position will be made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak soon, after the latter’s audience with the Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.
Ahmad Razif only spoke briefly to reporters while walking to the elevator to his office after the weekly state executive committee meeting and declined to elaborate on issues over his position.
He was accompanied by his political secretary Dr Rozailan Ibrahim and other officers.
Meanwhile State Culture and Tourism committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jidin Shafee said, during the exco meeting, Razif had said that he would abide by any decision made by the prime minister.
"He also advised all the exco members to work as usual and to focus on the rakyat," he said.
On Monday, the Terengganu palace had announced that Ahmad Razif had been stripped of the titles conferred on him effective from April 22.
