Three arrested for burgling JDT II football player's home

KOTA TINGGI: Police have arrested three men for allegedly breaking into the house of Johor Darul Takzim II football player Mohd Zaquan Adha Abdul Razak near Iskandar Puteri early today.

The three suspects, all locals, aged 23, 29 and 37, were arrested at their rented house at 1.45am.

Johor police chief Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said police also seized tools believed to have been used for burglary such as steel cutter, screwdriver, spanner and dibble.

"We also found watches, handbags, jewellery and cameras which we believed belong to the footballer at the house," he told a press conference today.

Also seized were a Hyundai Tucson and a Peugeot, both reported missing in Skudai and Tampoi, respectively.

The three suspects have been remanded for investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code for burglary.

Police are still trying to identify several other suspects who have may been involved in the incident.
