MIRI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the people needed to pick a party that can form a government that serves their needs when it’s time to cast their votes on May 7.
A State government led by Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem would be the right choice, said Najib. Over the last two years, Adenan has made many people friendly decisions, he added.
Najib was visiting Rumah Tuai Nunong in Nanga Jelah, Lambir here. Accompanying him was incumbent BN Lambir candidate Ripin Lamat.
“We need to give Tok Nan the chance to lead the state for five years and bring in more progress and development to the state. He is the right man for this and I give him my full endorsement and support,” he said.
Najib also backed Ripin, whom he described as a young and energetic leader who could deliver for BN what it promised to the people.
“I am confident many of you are behind the BN and will make the right choice when the time comes. Today I travelled to Lawas and Telang Usan and despite being delayed because of the bad weather I see many people turning up.
“This is a good sign especially after winning two seats uncontested,” he said referring to Bukit Sari in Lawas and Bukit Kota in Limbang won by BN incumbents Datuk Awang Tengah Ali Hassan and Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail.
