MACHANG: A man was instantly killed after he was hit by a train at Km465.25 near Kampung Belukar, here today.
District police chief Deputy Superintendent Dzukiffli Ab Ghani said the victim has been identified as Mohd Fadli Mahussain, 29.
He said police received a report from the train driver about the incident and immediately sent a team to investigate the case.
“The driver said the train was on its way to Tumpat when the incident happened about 5am," he said.
Dzulkiffli said the body was sent to the district police hospital for a post-mortem.
Police have ruled out any foul play in the case.
