Adenan hits campaign trail despite feeling under the weather

KUCHING: Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem had to cancel a few of his programmes today because he was feeling unwell.

"I had a slight headache and fever last night, so the doctor advised me to rest for a day.

"Now, I am here and all is well. For the past three weeks, I had a hectic schedule, " said Adenan at a no-holds barred press conference with the media at the old state legislative assembly, today.

When asked about his previous hospitalisation, he said he was grateful that he is still alive.

"I appreciate life more. God gave me a bonus in life. I was near death three years ago. God is great and here I am.

"I never thought that someone who was ill like me could be the next chief minister," he added.
