Sebuyau heli crash: Second body recovered

SRI AMAN: Rescuers have found the second body of Thursday's helicopter crash victim at 8.34am today.

The body, whose identity is still being withheld by authorities, was found some 10 kilometres from the search and rescue mission post in Lingga, here.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Farhan Sufyan Borhan said (as of 9am) the rescue party was working to take the body to Lingga.

The search and rescue mission resumed at 7.30am this morning with the involvement of over 70 officers from the Army, police, Civil Defence Department, and state Fire and Rescue Department.

Farhan said the rescue party had also carried out a search mission between 10.30pm and 2am last night, taking advantage of the low tide.
