(MMA) Msian Agilan still undefeated in ONE Championship

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian mixed martial arts fighter Agilan Thani is raring for more action after notching his fifth professional win in his career at ONE Championship's Ascent to Power in Singapore yesterday.

Agilan, who remains undefeated, showed great composure to beat American Brad Robinson via technical knockout in a catchweight (88kg) bout, only four minutes and 40 seconds into the first round at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

And the 20-year-old, who downed Canadian James Kouame via submission (clash of Heroes) in January, is hoping ONE Championship will keep the opponents coming.

"I was able to perform the way that I wanted but there are more improvements to make.

"I will take this victory (against Robinson) as a pat on the back and get right back in training to keep bettering myself," said Agilan.

"All victories are sweet but I do not want to pamper myself by calling out people (to fight).

"The division is dangerous and I would just like to ask ONE Championship to keep me busy,I think that will keep me more than happy."

Agilan won the welterweight title at the Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts amateur competition two years ago.

From there he was offered a spot on the roster at ONE Championship and has since developed into one of Malaysia's top mixed martial arts exponents.
