KUCHING: Members of the 11th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly will be sworn in on June 7.
Notices have been issued by the assembly office for all elected representatives to attend the ceremony.
Christopher Gira, the Parti Rakyat Sarawak Barisan Nasional candidate who won the Tamin seat, said he received his notice yesterday.
“The notice also instructed us to have the necessary ceremonial attires,” he said.
Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu BN candidate for Tupong Fazruddin Abdul Rahman said he too received a similar message from the office.
Several leaders however claimed they have not received any notices from the assembly.
The BN coalition was returned the mandate to rule the state with a landslide 72-10 victory defeating DAP that won seven and PKR with three in their account.
