Sultan Johor may have over exerted himself, says MB

PASIR GUDANG: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar may have over exerted himself recently and his condition is nothing to be alarmed about.

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said that Sultan Ibrahim's viral infection and gastritis was minor and it was best if everyone allowed the ruler to rest and recuperate.

"It is a small and minor (illness) because he may have exerted himself in the fasting month as he visits every Ramadan bazaar every evening, and he does this in the hot weather.

"Let Tuanku rest and get better. There is nothing to worry about," said Khaled, after a working visit to Kampung Kuala Masai, here today.

Sultan Ibrahim was admitted to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital's Royal Ward in Johor Baru on Friday following advice from his doctors. The ruler is being treated for mild viral infection and gastritis.

Khaled said he had visited the ruler at the Royal Ward on Friday.
