KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today expressed his condolences to the family of Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad or better known as Dollah Kok Lanas who died here this afternoon.
Abdullah, 79, was a former political secretary to second prime minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, who was Najib's father.
"I received the sad news that Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad, or fondly known as Dollah Kok Lanas, had passed away.
"He was very close to my late father Tun Razak and my family. My condolences to his family, and may Allah the Almighty bless his soul. Al-Fatihah," the prime minister said in his Facebook website.
Abdullah breathed his last at a private hospital at 1.15pm today believed to be due to cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Puan Seri Fauziah Mohamed Darus and two sons, Addha Amir, 47; and Fuad, 42; as well as a daughter, Didi, 45. --Bernama
