Rafizi a 'coward' for not meeting me, says Rosmah's aide

KUALA KANGSAR: Datuk Rizal Mansor, aide to Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, has accused PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli of being a "coward" when the latter refused to meet him earlier today.

Rizal, who arrived at the Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) office at 11.30am today, had tried to enter the building where Rafizi was holding a press conference.

He however was stopped by several PAN party workers, and was told that Rizal did not have a valid media card and that the room was already full.

"Rafizi is talking about me, I just want to enter and listen to what he has to say," Rizal told several party workers clad in orange T-shirts.

Rizal, who was flanked by several supporters of his own, insisted on entering, causing a slight commotion.

The supporters, claiming to be Kuala Kangsar folk, demanded that Rafizi come down from the stage and meet them.

A PAN party worker said: "Whatever your quarrel with Rafizi, you settle it with him personally."

To this, Rizal told them that he was not there to quarrel, but only to listen to the press conference.

"I don't want to quarrel, I just want to listen. What is he so afraid of?

"If he is practising new politics, (he should) say it to me, face to face," he added.

Party workers managed to shut the grill after about five minutes of arguments, and the small crowd that gathered eventually dispersed.
