SHAH ALAM: Four Latin-American men were sentenced to a year in prison each on three counts of burglary in the Klang Valley.

The four - Jeovan Andres Zamorank, Raul Ferwei Nino Queian, Ediverto Velderrama and Jesus Evelio Ariza Silva, aged between 30 and 56 - pleaded guilty before Magistrate Raja Noor Adilla Raja Mahyaldin when the charges were read out to them.

The charges were read out in Spanish by an interpreter.

These four men had committed the offences in 2008 and March this year. They had robbed homes in several areas including Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Shah Alam, Bukit Rahman Putra and Saujana Resort.
