JOHOR BARU: A father and son crime duo, specialising in home burglaries, have finally been brought down to earth, thanks to the police.
The duo were among seven men whom police believe had teamed up for a series of burglaries in Skudai recently.
Johor Baru Utara district police chief Assistant Commisioner Mohd Taib Ahmad said police arrested four of the men on June 18, while another three were detained three days later during an operation in Kampung Skudai Kiri.
Mohd Taib said the suspects, aged between 21 and 44, tested positive for drugs and had previous criminal records.
He said that the group, dubbed "Gang Anak Bapak", is wanted for several cases of burglaries and theft in the Johor Baru Utara district.
"With the arrest, we have solved several cases of burglaries in the Skudai and Taman Universiti areas," he said.
