JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his wife Che' Puan Khaleeda Bustamam welcomed their first child, a girl, at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, here this morning.
Johor Council of the Royal Court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli said the first grandchild of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar was born at the hospital's royal ward, and confirmed that mother and child are healthy.
"Congratulations to His Royal Highness Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and Her Highness Che' Puan Khaleeda Bustamam on the birth of their first child, a princess, on June 25, 2016 or Ramadan 20, 1437 at the Royal Ward at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Baru.
"Her Highness Che' Puan Khaleeda Bustamam and her princess are well and healthy, " said Rahim in a statement.
Tunku Ismail, 31, and Che' Puan Khaleeda, 22, were married at Istana Bukit Serene, here on Oct 24, 2014.
