KUALA KEDAH: The Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (Fama) has assured that there is sufficient supply of essential items for the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
Fama chairman Tan Sri Badruddin Amiruldin said preparations have been made to ensure that all essential goods required throughout the festival season will be sufficient.
"We plans and preparare every year for the celebrations when the demand of essential items increase drastically. All essential items under Fama outlets are so far in sufficient supply.
"Those who plan to shop for the coming Hari Raya can visit the Pusat Komuniti dan Karavan (PAKAR or Community and Caravan Centre) where all the essential festival items are offered at a lower price compared to the market," he said.
Badruddin said this after officiating the Pra-Syawal carnival at Kuala Kedah PAKAR here today (July 1).
The five-day programme, which is taking place simultaneously nationwide beginning today, is aimed at promoting and marketing agro-based industry products as well as Pasar Tani entrepreneurs, while also provide essential goods at an affordable price especially for Muslims consumers who will be celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri next week.
The programme involves the participation of a total of 50 Pasar Tani traders and entrepreneurs from the agro-based industry.
