KUALA KANGSAR: Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah performed his Raya prayers at Masjid Ubudiah here today.
Smartly dressed in peach coloured Baju Melayu, the Ruler arrived at the mosque at 8.30am and was greeted by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and other dignitaries.
He later joined thousands of faithful to perform his prayers in the mosque.
After the completion of prayers at about 9.15am, Sultan Nazrin Shah adjourned to the royal mausoleum and offered prayers to his late father, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah
He also visited the grave of former Kuala Kangsar member of parliament Datuk Wan Mohammad Khairil Anuar Wan Ahmad.
The Ruler later left the mosque at about 9.50am.
Sultan Nazrin is expected to attend the Perak Menteri Besar’s Hari Raya Open House to be held between 2.30pm and 6pm this afternoon.
