YAN: A 44-year-old van driver and four female factory workers escaped with minor injuries after their van skidded and landed on its side at Jalan Singkir Darat today.
The incident occurred at 7am as the five were travelling from Yan towards a factory in Sungai Petani.
Yan district police chief Deputy Superintendant Mohamad Halim Yatim said the roads were wet and slippery at the time of the accident.
The driver is believed to have lost control of the van, leading to the crash.
He said the driver and four female workers, aged between 38 and 52, were sent to the Yan Hospital.
