KUALA LUMPUR: Sin Li Jane has etched her name in Malaysian bowling history by becoming the first European champion.
The 24-year-old won the women's title in the European Bowling Tour's Masters Championships by edging Germany's Birgit Poppleton 259-246 in the final at Rose'N Bowl in San Marino today.
It was a fantastic effort by the Malaysian considering that all the top European bowlers were competing in the event.
“I am so happy. It is my first title on European soil and I hope to build from the win in upcoming tournaments,” said Li Jane.
On Sunday, Li Jane was runner-up in the San Marino Open.
