Selena Gomez sizzles in maiden performance in Malaysia

SHAH ALAM: Despite a protest by PAS Youth to have it cancelled, Selena Gomez's first ever concert in Malaysia went on as planned tonight.

Gomez sizzled and thrilled about 4,000 Selenators (what Gomez’s fans call themselves), who thronged the Stadium Malawati to see the artiste perform.

The 24-year-old singer-actress appeared on stage donning a long-sleeved black turtleneck and loose silk pants, flashing her fans a sweet smile before singing her most recent hit, Revival.

She then performed songs including her hits Kill Em With Kindness, Love You like A Love Song, Hands To Myself and Come & Get It.

It's so crazy to be able to travel the world and see all of you. I'm so thankful to be able to do this.

"This is amazing. I'm grateful to be here," the singer gushed as she addressed her screaming fans.

The concert tonight is part of Gomez’s 'Revival' world tour which promotes her second studio album of the same name, released in October last year.

The Malaysian concert is part of the tour’s second leg, which also covers Asian cities including Jakarta, Bangkok and Tokyo.

Having covered North America in the first leg, Gomez will also be holding concerts in Oceania and Europe next.

The tour began in Las Vegas in May and will conclude in Mexico in December.

This marks Gomez’s second solo tour, following her Stars Dance Tour in 2013.

Kuala Lumpur was supposed to have been one of the stops, but Gomez had to cancel the tour’s Asian and Australian legs altogether due to personal issues.

Selena Gomez's 'The Revival Tour Live In Malaysia' is presented by Cornetto and promoted by PR Worldwide.
