OUG shooting: Murder suspect arrested in Subang Jaya

KUALA LUMPUR: Police today detained another suspect, believed to be involved in the recent shooting incident at Taman OUG which saw a woman killed and her daughter injured.

City police chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh said the 41-year-old suspect was detained in Subang Jaya.

"Based on a tip-off, a Criminal Investigation Department team from Kuala Lumpur tracked down the suspect and detained him at 7.30pm today," he said.

Amar said a remand order would be applied tomorrow.

In the incident, Datin Wong Siu Ling, who was travelling with her five children and a maid in her Toyota Vellfire, was killed instantly when she was shot dead at point blank.

Two men on a motorcycle had pulled up alongside her Toyota Vellfire and fired five shots, one of which struck her in the neck, killing her instantly.

Wong's daughter, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was also shot during the incident.
