LENGGONG: Two Bank Simpanan Nasional employees died while two others were injured in an accident near the Selat Pagar rest area here this afternoon.
Gerik district police chief Deputy Superintendent Jamalani Mohd Isa said Muhamad Isa Mohd Ros, 45, and Baharuddin Amaran, 52, died on the spot following the 4.20pm incident at KM53 Jalan Kuala Kangsar-Gerik- Pengkalan Hulu.
"The victims were travelling in a Nissan Navara driven by a 57-year-old man," he said.
"The driver of the Navara was believed to have lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a lorry driven by a 66-year-old man," he added.
The 57-year-old Navara driver and lorry driver sustained light injuries and were treated at the Lenggong clinic.
The remains of the deceased were taken to the Gerik Hospital for post mortem.
