KOTA TINGGI: Bride-to-be, Kartika Madani is looking for her biological father to become her guardian (wali) at her wedding ceremony on September 17.
Kartika, 20, who is a general worker at a school in Tebrau, Johor Baharu, said she planned to get married with her future husband, Muhammad Faridzul Nawar Fuad Nelsen, 21, who is a Felcra supervisor in Kampung Sungai Telur here.
According to Kartika, she did not know how her father, Madani Makbul, in his 50’s now, disappeared when she was aged four years.
“My mother, Sutayah Saini, 49, only said father went out to work one day and did not return and he could not be contacted ever since.
“Efforts to track down father by my mother were fruitless. My mother only made a report at the religious department after his disappearance and he has never been found since then,” she said when met here.
Kartika said her family used to live in Balakong, Selangor but returned to reside in Kampung Sungai Telor here after her father disappeared.
“Whoever knows the whereabouts of my father can contact my mother at 019-707 4864 or my sister, Salmah Anwar at 013-787 6825,” said Kartika, the fifth of six siblings. --Bernama
